Like most tropical islands, Bali has only two seasons a year, rainy and dry season.

Rainy season starts around October and ends around April.  December to early February usually are the heaviest.  Being located in the mountains, Munduk gets more rain than the Denpasar area (Kuta, Sanur, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua).  During these months, Munduk can get rain almost every day.  Usually the rain will start in the afternoon for one to three hours long and stop/clear close to sunset time.

Summer/dry season starts in May and ends in September.  July and August is not just peak tourist season, these months can also be a bit windy.

At an elevation of approximately 800 meters above sea level, Munduk’s  temperature  ranges between 20 – 30 degrees Celcius.  An air conditioner or heater are not needed here.    A sweatshirt or thin coat is all that’s needed to get the chill out at night or early morning; in the summer too.
